Rebecca Shrimpton vocalist/composer

Rebecca is also an accomplished voice teacher...

...with extensive training and performance as both a classical mezzo soprano and a jazz vocalist.  She has an undergraduate degree in classical voice, with a master's degree in jazz studies from New England Conservatory (Boston).  She has also studied Estill Voice Training (vocal technique and anatomy) under Mary McDonald Klimek and Clare McLeod, earning a Certificate of Figure Proficiency.

As a vocal instructor, she embraces all styles of music, including jazz, classical, blues, pop/rock, R&B, gospel, folk, country, and musical theater, while providing expert instruction in healthful vocal technique, development of individual style, repertoire, improvisation, theory and ear training.

Rebecca has worked with students of all ages and levels, from young singers to college students and professional musicians, including instrumentalists who are learning to sing and experienced vocalists who are branching out into new genres.  

Rebecca is currently Associate Professor of Voice at Berklee College of Music.  She has taught voice for nearly 20 years through
